On the Airplane: Fall 2022
Traveling with Gramps can be entertaining. Getting special treatment, he's the first to enter the plane at the Chicago airport on the leg going to Albuquerque. He pauses when he sees the pilots reclining in the first class seats. There are no other passengers on board. He gives the pilots a stern once-over. Leaning over, he focuses on the pilot with the most insignia. "I'm here. We can go now." Without missing a beat, the pilot says, "Did you close the door behind you?" *** We are the last to deplane in Albuquerque. As we walk past the pilots at the door, the same pilot says, "Have a good time in Vegas." Gramps stops, gives him a stern look, and says, "Vegas! I thought we were in San Diego!"
